First storyboard draft. The point of the scene is not discovering that the characters are puppets. At this point of the story it has already been established. Ratcliff and Lieutenant Percy are Flora's toy puppets. The scene starts off with the puppets on a table, they are arguing. Suddenly Flora pops behind them and they both freeze (like in Toy Story). She has her arms crossed, meaning she is not touching the puppets. She stares intensely at them, waiting for them to move again. Ratcliff is trying to hold his breath and Lieutenant Percy tries to stay in balance. Eventually though, they both fail and get busted. Flora screams I KNEW IT! while pointing her finger at them.

New Ratcliff colour. In a general shot with the 3 characters, the original colour of Ratcliff might not stand out enough. The mustache is better off black but the skin colour can be played around with in order to stand out next to Flora and Lieutenant.
This is my exploration of new colours, I'm leaning towards the last one (pastel yellow)

"final" colours:
Balanced the colours of the puppets so they would stand out more in comparison to Flora's hair. Focus on the blue moustache of the rat puppet and the yellow eyes of the cat puppet. (not to scale)

Feedback
Peers: Although my classmates like the red haired Flora the best, they think that it will stand out too much when put together with the puppets. They think Flora should be somewhat plain to reflect a good level of transparency.
Tutor: Keat suggests that Flora doesn't need to be plain. Being the heroine, it's fine if she stands out and having bright hair doesn't take away the fact that she is a poor orphan. Instead, I could balance the colours of the puppets in a way that would balance and attract the eye when the 3 characters are in the same shot.
